Meeting the standards of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations of 1981, this course is geared towards those who wish to gain formal recognition of their medical knowledge, understanding and skills of first aid in the workplace.
This is a highly versatile qualification that is applicable in almost any industry, as all employers are required by law to have First Aid resources in place for their employees. Over the course of a day, this single mandatory unit covers every aspect of basic First Aid; including assignation of medical roles and responsibilities in day-to-day office operation. When emergencies do arise, the delegates will be instructed on how to conduct initial assessments before administering assistance to the casualty. This assistance covers incidents of choking or other breathing difficulties, bleeding, shock, and a range of other minor injuries. Successful completion of this qualification allows candidates to progress to IQ Level 3 Award in First Aid at work, using credits already achieved on this course.
