This course is geared specifically for building the knowledge of security screeners, and those with an aviation contract.
The course consists of between 1 and 2 weeks of theory, followed immediately by 40 hours of on-job training (OJT), which can be carried out by the client. The qualification is valid for 13 months, after which it must be refreshed. This is a prerequisite to the AvSec Supervisor Initial course.
Learner must be aspiring to or already employed in the relevant training role
Every Aviation Security course that Nightingale offers requires the learner to be employed in the role with the training need. Further to this, the employer must provide a security declaration before the training can begin. All courses are certificated and require regular (though not frequent) refresher training after a given period of time has elapsed.
