Specifically aimed at individuals aspiring to steward at large spectator events, the course’s content instructs delegates on how to deal with large crowds, and the best techniques to effectively control them while ensuring the continued safety of everyone present.
This comprehensive course covers everything from how to fully prepare and train for spectator events right up to responding to injuries, illnesses and other emergencies on the actual day. Candidates will learn how to control and direct the entry, exit and movement of crowds, as well as spotting the early warning signs of any developing problems, and how best to respond to them. This course meets the requirements of the Green Guide for stewards to work unaccompanied as they complete their competency qualification. As well as being suitable for novices, this qualification aims to equip experienced learners with more specific knowledge, skills or understanding of already known subject areas, all the while meeting relevant programmes of learning, and therefore enabling them to move on to a full-time role in the workplace
